"Plié For The People" is a YouTube channel that offers free ballet classes online. I designed it for dancing at home or on-the-go! The goal is to bring ballet to more people! Anyone can try it at NO COST! Let's make ballet accessible and doable for all!

I am thrilled to launch another YouTube channel about dance! This time, I am getting creative! Every episode of "Dance With Ms. Mimi" will be a dance combination tutorial in which I explain how to execute every movement in a piece of choreography. I hope you will join me in learning some prescribed movements, and help passing the word along!

I am the #NewYorkCityDanceTeacher. I have been teaching in New York ever since 2015, and have taught dance sporadically in parts of Boston and California before that. I obtained my New York State Teaching License and have been primarily a full-time dance teacher in the public and charter school settings. I have also worked closely with The Brooklyn Ballet and have been teaching Adult Ballet Classes on the weekends as a side hustle. I absolutely love teaching dance to all ages, and proud of being in this profession.

Over the years, I have created many artistic dance works. My digital portfolio titled "MimiLiuWorks" consists of concert dances, informal studio showings, site-specific compositions as well as dance films. I hope you will check it out and enjoy what I have created.
